GXO Logistics and Greene King have extended their long-standing partnership for another 10 years, strengthening a relationship that spans more than two decades.
Under the renewed agreement, GXO will consolidate elements of food and drink distribution across the UK to the brewery’s 2,600 pubs.
It said it would also leverage its experience in the food and beverage sector and expertise in automation and technology to drive improvements.
Chris Hyde, MD food and beverage, GXO UK and Ireland, said: “We’re delighted to extend our partnership with Greene King for another 10 years.
“Together, we’ve delivered some amazing projects and leveraged our sector expertise to drive operational efficiencies across the supply chain. I’m particularly proud of our shared commitment to sustainability and the progress we’re making together.”
Vance Fairman-Smith, group supply chain director at Greene King, added: “We are pleased to continue our partnership with GXO.
“It allows us to work together and focus on a long-term, end-to-end strategy across our supply chain for our pubs so we can best support our teams and serve our customers and communities.”
Last year, the companies said sustainability measures it had introduced, including fleet decarbonisation and driver performance measurements, had improved fuel efficiency by 10%.
