Tool hire firm The Hireman has hammered out a new deal with Isuzu and expanded its fleet with six 3.5-tonne Grafter dropside rigids.
MD Neil Graham said the switch to Isuzu came after the Grafter “captured our attention”, being Euro-6 compliant, compact and Ad Blue-free: “In this gvw category, the Grafter’s compact cab means we can have a longer loading space for the tools and equipment that we carry, whilst the lack of Ad Blue eliminates many of the problems that we were having with the incumbent vehicles now being replaced,” he said.
The trucks are fitted with bespoke TGS dropside bodies and rear tail lifts as standard and will operate in The Hireman fleet for up to seven years.
And, after nailing its requirements, Graham added that it would be choosing Isuzu for its 3.5-tonne and 7.5-tonne fleet acquisitions in the future too.
