Suttons Group has purchased 800 new baffle isotanks in a £10m deal to boost its ability to move a wider range of liquids and fluids.
The company, which delivers products and services to the chemicals, gases, fuels and food sectors, will now have more baffle tanks than non-baffle tanks in its trailer fleet.
The Cheshire-based firm has already taken delivery of 500 of the baffle isotanks, with the remaining 300 set to enter operation during the next six months.
Andrew Baird, Suttons Group technical services director, said: “Our success in winning new business and ongoing commitment to our existing customers means we are continually updating our fleet.
“These new isotanks, which are being added to the deep-sea fleet and deployed around the world, give us greater flexibility and the ability to carry a broader range of products.
“Our continued focus on safety ensures there is also full compliance with the International Maritime Dangerous Goods Code.”
Suttons has a UK fleet of 500 vehicles. It also operates internationally including New Jersey, Houston, Antwerp, and Singapore.
