The RHA has received an award in recognition of the work it does to support the recruitment of armed forces service leavers, veterans and their families.
The business group signed the Armed Forces Covenant in 2018 – a promise by the nation to those who serve.
The covenant declares that signatories will do all they can to ensure that members of the armed forces community are treated fairly and not disadvantaged in their day-to-day lives.
Firms which have signed up support reservists with time off for military duties - and recruit former soldiers, sailors and air force personnel where possible.
As a result of the work it has done, the RHA has now been awarded the Defence Employer Recognition Scheme Silver Award.
RHA chief executive Richard Burnett said: “I am both proud and delighted that the RHA has been awarded this accolade.
“It recognises our work as an employer of ex-members of the armed forces, our collaboration with Care after Combat and our continuing work with Skills for Logistics.”
