Logistics and supply chain provider PML has made two new appointments, a finance director and sales manager, to help support its growth plans.

FD Philip Booth (pictured) brings more than 30 years’ experience of the finance control environment working for various SMEs and as an FCMA qualified accountant with an MBA he has supported them within the service delivery and retail sectors.

Booth said: “I have a proven track record of working with SME specialists which sits well with PML’s positioning and was attracted to the company’s renowned reputation for forward thinking and innovation.

“I will be working closely with managing director Mike Parr, bringing fresh thinking to the business and improved financial structure, which I believe will reap strong rewards.”

Karl Gerding joins the business as a sales manager having previously worked at Hellmann Worldwide, Geodis and UTi Worldwide.

He has worked in logistics for over 20 years: “I’ve long admired PML’s innovative approach to business and was attracted to the company’s solid reputation and independent status,” he said.

“As a business that operates its own trucks with possession of its own facilities - including the impressive new transport and logistics hub at Kent - PML is well placed to continue its meteoric growth within the perishable goods sector.”
