Palletways Livingston has appointed Royal Mail veteran Mark Moynes to the position of sales manager.

Moynes has more than 30 years of experience in logistics and transport, progressing from trainee to senior management at the postal service before moving into commercial roles, first with Howdens and then at DX Express as a depot sales manager.

Within 18 months, he was named UK sales manager of the year, outperforming peers across the country.

In his new role at Palletways, he will focus on winning new business, growing freight volumes and strengthening relationships with existing customers.

He said: “I have spent my whole career in logistics, from sorting letters and parcels through to managing large-scale operations and selling parcel services.

“Moving into freight and international distribution with Palletways feels like the final piece of the puzzle. I now feel I have covered the full sector, and I am excited about building something long term.

“I have been given the trust and freedom to go out, represent the Palletways name and win new business, while making sure our existing customers continue to receive the first-class service we pride ourselves on.”

James Dunn, GM at Palletways Livingston, said: “Mark’s depth of operational knowledge, combined with his proven sales performance, makes him a strong addition to the depot.

“His understanding of how freight moves through a network, alongside his commercial focus, will be a real asset as we continue to grow, and we are delighted to have him on our team.”
