Palletline has launched a flexible pallet size service for the B2B sector, which it said was developed for retail customers and e-commerce brands.

Its Half+ service is for shipments up to 1.8m tall and with a maximum weight of 500kg and the network said it could be used throughout regional and nationwide distribution centres.

Palletline board director and Edge Transport MD Jonathan Edge said: “The introduction of the Half+ pallet results from extensive research amongst the member network and has been developed with their customers in mind.

“It provides a flexible, efficient and cost-effective solution and demonstrates our continuing desire to continue to develop an innovative product service offering.”

Palletline said its new pallet type enabled optimal warehouse racking and vehicle usage and was a cost-effective solution for customers requiring something larger than a half pallet.

Group MD Graham Leitch said: “Not only does our new Half+ product enable us to offer our members additional flexibility in terms of their offering to customers, it is also an ideal fit for our partnership with Amazon as we’re the only UK pallet network included in its inbound preferred carrier programme.”
