S&S Distribution said it had freed up space in its warehouses in anticipation of a surge in volumes as shoppers look to bag bargains in the run-up to Christmas.

The Kent operator said it was likely retailers would begin offering “blockbuster deals” amid the cost-of-living crisis and warehousing space would be at a premium as 2023 comes to a close.

The Tonbridge haulier and Palletline member said it could offer tailor made packages to cover all aspects of the supply chain and assist clients from receiving container loads of stock for palletisation and storage, to onward delivery either through the Palletline or Hazchem networks or on a dedicated vehicle.

“While volumes may not be as high as last year due to the cost-of-living crisis, we are still anticipating a significant hike,” said Romas Kusneraitis, director of S&S Distribution.

“In preparation, we have freed up space in our warehousing facility to ensure customers avoid the frustration of being unable to source sufficient capacity to store their stock during the demanding peak period.”
