Luxury homeware brand Birdie Fortescue has appointed Prolog Fulfilment to manage its warehousing and distribution as the business expands its international operations.

The Norfolk-based company, which has grown from an antiques business into an international home and interiors brand, has recently expanded its presence in the US through digital activity and a pop-up in New York.

Under the new partnership, Prolog will provide end-to-end fulfilment, including warehousing, order picking, packing, dispatch and returns management.

The contract covers Birdie Fortescue’s full product range, from smaller homeware items to large and bulky furniture.

Prolog has introduced specialist handling procedures for fragile and high-value products, alongside quality checks designed to ensure goods are dispatched in suitable condition.

For larger furniture deliveries, Prolog will coordinate a two-person delivery service, with customers able to book delivery slots. The service includes room-of-choice delivery, unpacking, positioning of furniture and removal of packaging where required.

Prolog will also provide value-added services including product assembly and finishing before orders are dispatched.

Steph Mitcheson, Prolog business development director, said: “The partnership reflects the growing demand among premium home and interiors brands for fulfilment solutions that go beyond conventional warehousing and distribution, providing the specialist handling, added value services and customer experience required for high-value brands.

“Our solution gives Birdie Fortescue a single, trusted partner managing the full journey from warehouse to living room, protecting the brand’s reputation for quality at every step.”

A Birdie Fortescue spokesperson said the partnership would provide the versatility and support needed to help drive the company’s growth plans.

“Prolog’s specialist approach gives us confidence that our homeware will be handled with the same care from the moment it enters the warehouse through to delivery into our customers’ homes.

“Their ability to provide a scalable fulfilment solution also gives us the flexibility and infrastructure we need to support our next stage of growth,” the spokesperson said.
