Freight forwarder and logistics firm NTEX UK has announced plans to grow in the European market with an initial focus on Italy.
Headquartered in Immingham, with offices in Bristol, Glasgow and London, NTEX already trades with Scandinavian countries, but it said it would take further steps towards becoming “a complete European logistics company”.
Dan Ericsson, NTEX UK chief executive, said: “Scandinavia will continue to be our largest market for some time to come.
“We see several opportunities for us to grow in the European market, not least among NTEX’s new offices in Italy, Belgium, France, and Austria.
“We want to continue to grow, both through acquisitions and organically.
“We chose London because that’s where the expertise towards the Italian market is. Our employees are doing a great job, and we have seen a positive development on the new line from Italy,” he said.
The new focus area involves rail transport from northern Italy to the UK, via Rotterdam.
