Irish delivery firm Nightline has stepped in to handle most of the express parcels work that had been handled by Target Express prior to its collapse.
The company said it had agreed to an “open-ended arrangement” with City Link, which involved handling both collections and deliveries on that carrier’s behalf in the Irish Republic.
“We're delighted to be partners once again with City Link as we had both enjoyed a close working relationship for a decade from the late 1990s,” said Nightline chief executive John Tuohy.
“We're looking forward to be working with them well into the future."
He added: “The extra volumes generated by City Link and the other former Target clients which we have been able to assist mean that we are now handling an additional 5,000 parcels per night.”
