NFT Distribution has bought 40 Schmitz Cargobull trailers as part of an ongoing fleet replacement programme.

The new, deep freeze trailers will be used to move products from producers to consolidation centres and DCs across the UK.

The temperature controlled food and drink operator chose to start replacing its older reefers with Schmitz-Cargobull models three years ago, after a 12 month trial.

The trailers have been fitted with side skirts and roof vortex generators to decrease drag, as NFT predicted more than 80% of their work will be on motorways.

The trailers also have Schmitz CargoBull’s MF6 Multi-Function Floor, which NFT said improves payload, has better grip and good life expectancy.
