New recruit at GV Group (Gate Ventures)

GV Group (Gate Ventures), which owns several brands offering logistics services within the foodservice sector, has appointed Darren Weeks as its group business director.

The group owns Gate Ventures Food Transport, Foodmove and Repco, firms that provide food transport and logistics services for wholesalers, caterers and retailers.

Weeks has joined the group from foodservice firm Compass, where he was director of operations at ESS Defence and most recently head of operations for education sector caterer Chartwells.

He will be responsible for the operational management of Foodmove and the Gate Ventures Food Transport business. He will report to Tevin Tobun, GV Group's CEO

Weeks said: “GV Group is a fantastic business which holds a unique place in the foodservice sector.

"I’m really looking to the challenges that this role will provide and am incredibly excited about helping the business take the next steps on its growth journey.”
