Fuel card firm International Diesel Services is celebrating its 40th anniversary with a new name and a pledge to double the number of truck dedicated sites in its network.
Now called Q8Truck, the company said this helps it align with the Q8 Group, of which it is part; it added that the name also fits better with a range of new services it intends to offer.
“We are planning to build a large number of new stations ourselves in the coming years, but will also expand the network with new ‘card acceptance’ stations, where you can pay with our fuel cards, to provide a far denser network in both existing and new markets,” said Hans Kats, Q8Truck director.
“In the upcoming months, we will already open several new stations in our network.”
Martijn Hazebroek, strategy and business development director at Q8Truck added: “The market is changing; customers’ needs and expectations are evolving, so clearly we respond to that.
“We want to significantly expand our offering of HVO100, a 100% fossil-free fuel, and we also want to offer electric charging for trucks, which we are already testing in Scandinavia, for example.
“Services such as toll payment and parking are also part of our plans.”
