New Manchester CAZ scheme to be launched no later than 2026, says government

The government has agreed to a plea by Manchester mayor Andy Burnham (pictured) to lift the direction on the 10 local authorities to bring illegal levels of pollution to within legal limits by 2024 in order for a revised Clean Air Zone scheme to be developed.
