Menzies Distribution's ability to deliver to remote areas has helped it land a major new contract with forest machinery manufacturer Komatsu Forest.
Under the deal Menzies Distribution, which has has eight depots and hubs in Scotland, is able to deliver parts for machines within 24 hours, which will help cut the cost of delays to forestry contractors' businesses.
The service will also be enhanced by the provision of a storage facility for Komatsu Forest at its Inverness site, where clients can either collect the parts or pick them up via a click and collect service with local newsagents. At present, the nearest warehouse is in Longtown, Carlisle.
