Knights of Old has fitted eight new MAN TGLs with additional nearside windows to improve drivers’ vision on the road.
The windows, which help drivers see cyclists coming up the left side of the vehicle, cost £1,200 per vehicle to fit.
The new vehicles, which will operate in London, provide drivers with an internal warning if a cyclist is close to the vehicle, and are equipped with audible left-turn equipment.
Seven of the trucks are in Knights of Old livery, and the eighth in group-owned AE Parker branding.
Knights of Old said it added the extra windows because it wants to “not just meet industry standards, but to exceed them”.
