Dual celebrations are in order at East Sussex haulier Independent Logistics Solutions (ILS) as the company celebrates its ten-year anniversary and the extension of its Palletways contract.
Founded in February 2013 in Heathfield, the company operates a fleet of 20 vehicles and provides same-day courier and general haulage and storage services, delivering items as varied as bricks and office stationery to garden furniture and fresh eggs.
The company joined Palletways shortly after its formation and celebrates its tenth anniversary this month by extending its Palletways contract.
ILS director Sue Brooks, said: “The business has grown significantly since its formation. We started off handling around 2,000 pallets per month but now move closer to 11,000. To date, we’ve handled more than 900,000 pallets for Palletways and I’m proud to say that we’ve worked hard over the last decade to become a trusted network member.

“Our business is stronger by being part of Palletways. The brand is known throughout the UK and Europe and many trading companies approach us to work with them because they trust it. From delivering pallets, this leads onto helping customers with other transport requirements, including general haulage and storage, so for us it’s a win-win.”
Warwick Trimble, network director at Palletways UK added: “ILS’ double milestone is a great achievement in what can be a challenging industry, especially in recent years. Recruiting and retaining the best hauliers in the business is a core part of our activity, so it’s important to celebrate the longevity of our members and reward them for their dedication to customer service and operational excellence.
“As a network, we can only be as strong as our members, so I’d like to convey my appreciation to the fantastic team at ILS for their hard work. We look forward to them being part of the Palletways success story for many years to come.”
