The Hazchem Network has introduced a photo-on-delivery service for customers following an update of its hub system.

It said the photo of goods at their delivery point was developed in response to a growing demand from the network and enabled increased traceability of freight.

The Hazchem Network said that alongside the existing electronic signature capture and GPS stamp obtained with each delivery, photo-on-delivery would provide more confidence to customers that their freight was in safe hands and had been delivered as expected.

Rob Symes, Hazchem Network MD, said: “We are pleased to announce this service.

“Hazchem operates in a highly regulated sector - as the only UK pallet network for dangerous goods we are always developing our systems to keep up with legislation and the latest technological advancements.

“We will continue to invest in the network offerings and plan to announce further developments in the near future.”

This year has seen WT Transport, ABE Ledbury and Lambert Brothers all joining the network.
