Kinaxia subsidiary Lambert Brothers has become a member of the Hazchem Network, providing services across the SO and SP postcodes, including Southampton, Salisbury, Andover, Winchester and the New Forest.

Based in Eastleigh Lambert Brothers operates a fleet of 52 vehicles and has 50,000sq ft of warehousing, including a facility where all freight is scanned and transhipped under cover.

The Hazchem Network, founded in 2005, has more than 60 members serving the whole of the UK and 27 other European countries. It is the UK’s only pallet network providing specialist transport services for all types of hazardous goods – solids, liquids and gases – plus products that are sensitive to damages.

Kinaxia’s Cammack depot in Essex is already part of Hazchem and the addition of Lambert Brothers to the network sees the company expand its hazardous goods distribution to more customers.

Eddie Elmslie, Lambert Brothers managing director, said: “We already provide full transport of dangerous goods services for some customers, and the opportunity to join the Hazchem Network, with its proven high-quality customer service offer at competitive rates, is an ideal way to complement our other transport activities.

“It also enables us to apply the skills and experience of our existing operational and customer care teams to new business opportunities and to offer a reliable and cost-effective solution to new clients.”

Rob Symes, Hazchem Network managing director, said: “We have been speaking to Eddie for several years about the potential of joining Hazchem so, when the right opportunity arose, we were delighted to welcome another Kinaxia depot into the network.

“The business has a strong reputation in the area and is well-known for its commitment to service excellence. Kinaxia is already well-versed in operating within pallet networks and Lambert Brothers has taken to joining the Hazchem Network with ease. It’s a strong addition to our portfolio.”

.Lambert Brothers is part of the Kinaxia Group, which has its headquarters in Macclesfield, Cheshire. The group employs 1,600 staff nationwide and operates a fleet of 800 vehicles transporting goods for the retail, leisure, food and drink and manufacturing sectors.

Its national network of hubs provides a full source-to-shelf logistics service and it has 2.7 million sq ft of national warehousing facilities offering contract packing, e-fulfilment, returns management, storage services and a complete distribution service.
