Grocontinental, which was sold last year, has taken delivery of the first vehicle in its new owner’s livery.
The Shropshire-based haulier became part of the AGRO Merchants Group late last year.
The delivery of an MAN TGX with XLX cab marks the advent of the Grocontinental fleet carrying the AGRO Merchants Group branding.
It will be driven by Brian Evans, who has notched up 45 years on-the-road, and is Grocontinetal’s longest serving employee.
The new vehicle follows the recent purchase of 12 new refrigerated Schmitz trailers.
Chris Moss, AGRO Merchants Group’s MD for UK & Ireland, said: “This is a real milestone for the integration of Grocontinental into the AGRO Merchants Group and the increasing visibility of the group across the UK.”
Grocontinental will commence a rebranding programme towards the end of the year.
Former owners, brother and sister, David and Linda Grocott, continue to head-up the company as MDs.
