FleetCheck has added new features to its vehicle inspection app, including ‘push messaging’ for drivers to notify them of risk management-specific information.
The app can now also be used to communicate new fleet policies for driver reading and confirmation, according to the software firm.
FleetCheck MD Peter Golding said the app was one of its “success stories” of the last few years and it had now passed the seven million safety check milestone.
It enables fleet drivers to carry out, confirm, follow-up and audit a range of legally-required inspections, from daily walkarounds to monthly checks.
Golding said: “There has been a general increase in awareness of this kind of digital safety check product in the market, both among car and commercial vehicle fleets, and we have been well-placed to take advantage of the trend, even through the coronavirus situation.”
As well as the recent feature additions, Golding said usage increased this year due to a fit-to-drive declaration that covers coronavirus symptoms: “The importance of this was immediately recognised and it was adopted by a wide range of our fleet customers,” he added.
