DX has reopened its East Grinstead depot after winning new business and expanding its freight division.
The West Sussex site closed last year after DX Group took on 15 former Tuffnells depots from the administrator and staff transferred to a new depot in Crawley.
But the parcel freight, courier and logistics business said it was reopening the base in East Grinstead to give it additional capacity and improve operational efficiencies.
The depot is 14,000sq ft with a purpose-built cross dock and DX said it would accommodate the continued growth in the DX Freight 1-Man division, which specialises in parcels and awkward-to-handle freight.
Paul Ibbetson, chief executive of DX Group said: “We are delighted to have reopened the East Grinstead depot.
“It will provide our freight operations with greater capacity and increase capability in the area. It also helps to make us more efficient and reduces our stem mileage, which in turn will lower our overall carbon emissions.
”We continue to focus on setting market-leading service standards.
“We have invested significantly in our depot network over the past few years and will continue this programme across the group, including IT, vehicles and equipment.”
