DX said it had expanded its 2-Man division with the opening of two new sites in Middleton in the North West and at Heathrow.
The locations take the total number of DX 2-Man ‘supersites’ in the UK to eight and all were introduced to support the growth of this specialist freight division for larger and heavier consumer goods.
DX added that it had one of the largest two-man home delivery networks, with a central main hub at Willenhall and 19 depots including the eight supersites.
Its DX Freight operation remains a key area of growth for the group and further capital investment is planned over the remainder of the year.
Paul Ibbetson, DX Group chief executive, said: “We are delighted to have opened the two additional new DX 2-Man supersites in Middleton and Heathrow.
“They will provide our 2-Man operations with greater capacity, further increase capability and get us closer to our customers’ customers in these areas.
“It also helps to make us more efficient and reduces our stem mileage, which in turn will lower our overall carbon emissions.”
