Wincanton has made James Clarke interim chief financial officer (CFO) ahead of the departure of Tim Lawlor at the end of this month.
Lawlor has left the Wiltshire-based logistics company to join Countryside Properties.
Clarke, who is Wincanton’s operations finance director, will take up his new role on 1 March.
In a statement the company said: "James is an experienced member of the group's finance team, having held a number of roles at Wincanton since 2017.”
It added that that the search for a permanent successor to Lawlor is progressing with the company considering both internal and external candidates.
