The RHA has announced that the sign-up process for its new Customs Brokerage Service for international hauliers will begin on 1 November 2020. The relaxation of drivers’ hours rules has been extended until 30 December, in response to crippling port congestion, Covid-19 and “unusual demand patterns”.
UPS and TNT Express have submitted remedies to the European Commission to address its competition concerns, extending the review period further. The submission extends the EC’s review period by 15 business days to 5 February 2013. The proposed remedies involve the sale of the business activities and its assets.
