The FTA is changing its name to Logistics UK on 27 July 2020. The name change, exclusively revealed by motortransport.co.uk in February this year, was originally set for May but was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. Home delivery specialist Hermes has branded the Chancellor’s decision to implement a 3ppl rise in fuel duty as “a disaster for the haulage sector”. The RHA and FTA have warned that hauliers operating under the London Lorry Control Scheme (LLCS) face extra costs and unnecessary legislation if proposed changes go ahead.
