DPD has significantly scaled up its plans for operating electric vehicles (EV) by boosting its fleet numbers to 500 by the end of next year. After two tough days of judging some superb entries, the shortlist for the 2015 Motor Transport Awards has been announced. DPD once again leads the pack, being shortlisted for four awards, while Cemex is up for two. DPD has broadcast construction footage of its new £150m hub in Hinckley, Leicestershire, which it said will be the largest domestic parcel hub in Europe when operational in 2022.
