NWF Group – owner of grocery distribution specialist Boughey Distribution – has reported Q1 trading has been “marginally ahead of the same period last year with net debt reflecting the normal seasonal fluctuations”. City Link failed to turn a profit on Friday posting a pre-tax loss of £26.4m while turnover for the year was up 4.8% to £321.7m. Rentokil was disappointed and said the “financial performance in the year was behind our initial expectations”.
Boughey Distribution said it had a “positive” year in food distribution despite difficult conditions caused by supermarkets that are fighting for market share deflating prices.
