UK Drivers & Logistics Solutions, which fell into administration following the death of its director last year, has been acquired by R D Transport (Stoke) in a pre-pack sale.

RD Transport (Stoke) was founded by UK Drivers & Logistics Solutions’ former operations director Rob Dookie in December 2025.

The administrators said that the pre-pack sale will allow all jobs at the company to be saved and the company’s secured creditor to be paid in full.

Steve Currie and Sophie Murcott of insolvency & restructuring specialists Currie Young, who were appointed as joint administrators on 23 March, helped set up the sale of Stoke-based UK Drivers & Logistics Solutions.

In a statement Currie Young said the pre-pack sale was completed swiftly, avoiding the costs associated with trading in administration, and complications relating to transport licenses.

Joint administrator Steve Currie, said: “After the previous director passed away late last year, the company’s financial position was unstable due to inherited debts and increasing creditor pressure.

“A pre-packaged sale via an administration process to the newly appointed director was considered to be the best outcome compared to liquidation.

“The sale to R D Transport (Stoke) Limited was strategically chosen to preserve the value of the business and safeguard the jobs of the workforce.

“As a result of the sale, customer service has remained largely unaffected.”

Currie Young added that, as well as the transfer of the workforce to RD Transport (Stoke), the sale has ensured continuity to the company’s customers, with administrators anticipating the secured creditor will be repaid in full.

UK Drivers & Logistics Solutions, which offered haulage services and driver training, held an operator licence for 10 trucks and 10 trailers.
