Zero-emission urban fleet operator Zedify has expanded with a new depot in Hoxton, east London.
Located just outside the London Ultra Low Emission Zone, the new micro consolidation centre will house up to 20 electric cargo trikes and be capable of handling more than 1,500 deliveries each day.
Parcels arrive in the morning from around the UK, are consolidated and sorted into delivery rounds and then delivered by couriers within a two-mile radius.
The company partners with national parcel couriers, local businesses and councils to carry out zero-emission, urban deliveries.

Zedify has eight depots across the UK and re-modes urban deliveries onto its fleet of 27 electric-assist cargo bikes, 35 electric trikes and five electric vans, which are used as mobile warehouses and to transport bulkier, or longer-distance goods when required.
The business was launched last year by the founders of two cargo bike firms, Cambridge-based Outspoken Delivery and Brighton-based Recharge Cargo, alongside tech company Skotkonung.
