Southampton’s Harris Transport has closed its doors, with around 70 staff sent home last Friday (10 August). Wind turbine transport firm West of Scotland Heavy Haulage has entered administration due to “growing competition, rising costs and unsustainable cash flow problems”.
All staff jobs at a Thurrock-based haulage firm have been saved after it entered administration and was then sold.
Civil engineering and earth moving group Pryor is understood to have issued an intention to appoint administrators.
