Palletways member Sovereign Transport has hired a Hermes field manager as its new business sales executive. Paul Hanson joins the Liverpool-based operator after three years at Hermes, where he was responsible for more than 100 self-employed couriers. Palletways UK has purchased longtime haulier member Systematic Logistics International (SLi) after it was placed into administration yesterday (29 November).
South West Delivery Services owed almost £1.3m to creditors when it was placed into liquidation in June.
