Palletways member Sovereign Transport has hired a Hermes field manager as its new business sales executive. Paul Hanson joins the Liverpool-based operator after three years at Hermes, where he was responsible for more than 100 self-employed couriers. Hermes has been awarded a five-year contract with fashion chain New Look to handle the home delivery of the retailer’s e-commerce orders. Delivering more than three million parcels per year to UK households, the goods will first be collected from New Look’s fulfilment hub in Lichfield, Staffs, before being transported to Hermes’ NDC in Nuneaton, Warwickshire.
