Ryder has appointed Nick Allera as it head of area sales.
Allera (pictured) has 27 years of experience in commercial vehicle operations. Before he was appointed, he was a operations manager for Ryder.
Allera will lead Ryder's area sales management team across the UK, he will report to John Murray who is the sales and marketing director.
Allera said: "My focus will be on ensuring we continue to retain and build business with our current customers.
"At the same time, I will be focusing on leveraging the strengths of the Ryder offer to build further new business across our UK operations."
John Murray said: "I’m delighted to promote Nick to this key position leading our Area Sales activities.
"Our customers, and our sales staff, will benefit tremendously from Nick’s many years of experience in commercial vehicle operations and sales.
"In his new role, I’m confident that Nick will play a key role supporting our customers with the innovative solutions and back-up that they need to succeed in their industries."
