DHL Supply Chain has been reappointed by BP to manage its UK logistics operations for an additional three years. It will see the operator making in excess of 92,000 deliveries per annum to BP’s company owned forecourts across the country. Wincanton says it is “extremely disappointed” that Unite failed to persuade its tanker driver members to accept proposals put forward over terms and conditions after six days of talks at conciliation service Acas. DHL Express almost doubled its UK pre-tax profit last year thanks to a significant rise in inbound volumes and an increase in its share of the global express market.
