XPO Logistics has won a national distribution contract with safety equipment manufacturer Arco, in a deal that will see it manage Arco’s £4m, 27,000m2 NDC in Hull.

XPO will manage the movement of some 60,000 pallets a year for Arco from the Hull RDC to 11 regional hubs and onwards to customers through XPO’s distribution network.

Neil Griffiths, divisional director, logistics at Arco, said: “The scale of XPO enables us to be flexible across the UK, while their technological know-how provides invaluable on-site scanning, consignment management and tracking, direct order entry and resource optimisation tools.”

Arron Kendall, commercial director, XPO Logistics said that its shared user network would help Arco as it grew in the market.
