Whistl has become the first company to secure a postal contract with the Government of Northern Ireland which will see it process 20m items of mail a year. Parcelforce Worldwide is to begin making deliveries for online retailers on Sundays next month as parent company Royal Mail Group plans to make its services more accessible to consumers.
Royal Mail expressed its disappointment today after members of the Communication Workers Union (CWU) unanimously voted in favour of holding a national strike ballot this year.
Whistl believes its ability to offer customers a one-stop shop from mail through to parcels and fulfilment services will ensure its future success as the mail market stagnates.
