XPO Logistics has renewed its e-fulfilment contract with skate, snow and surfing goods retailer Surfdome.com.

Under the terms of the deal, XPO will continue to manage Surfdome.com’s picking, packing, dispatch and returns operation as well as receiving goods from its suppliers.

The companies began working together in 2012, with the operation working out of a dedicated facility in Wellingborough, Northamptonshire.

XPO currently picks 75,000 units each week for the company, and recently increased available warehousing space by 30% by expanding the operation to an adjacent facility.

This expanded operation is run entirely on renewable electricity, in order to reduce its carbon footprint.

Justin Stone, MD of Surfdome.com, said: “XPO Logistics provides us with a flexible e-fulfilment operation that allows us to offer a high quality of service to our customers.

“By working as a team, we’ve been able to increase sales by offering later ordering times for next-day delivery, which extends the shopping window for our customers.”
