Knights of Old has won a two year distribution contract with packaging provider Povoas Packaging. The deal will see Knights of Old deliver products from Midlands-based Povoas to businesses across the whole of the UK, spanning “from Scotland to Cornwall”. Povoas said it chose the operator because it is Midlands based, as well as its BRC accreditation for storage and distribution, which it described as “central to its business values”. At this week’s multi-million euro launch of Renault Trucks’ complete new line up in Lyon, senior directors from its parent Volvo Group turned out to lend their support to this €2bn (£1.7bn) project to revitalise Renault’s ageing CV portfolio. Knights of Old (KOO) was founded in 1865 by William Knight with a single horse and cart, and has grown steadily and today runs 169 trucks and 185 trailers.
