Talks between DVSA management and Prospect and Public and Commercial Services (PCS) unions at arbitration service ACAS appear to be bearing fruit. Last-minute talks are being conducted today between Indesit UK and union Unite over the pay and conditions of over 200 drivers and warehouse staff at the white goods manufacturer – just over 36 hours before the first of three separate strikes is due to start.
Drivers who take their 45-hour weekly rest in their cab will face a £300 fine from 1 November, and may be required to restart their rest period.
