Howard Tenens Schmitz

Howard Tenens has replaced eight 12-year-old trailers with new Schmitz Cargobull S.KO Cool tri-axle deep freeze trailers.

The manufacturer said that the double-deck trailers' quiet refrigeration units, combined with Piek-certified floors, reduces noise emissions to less than 60dB, meaning they are ideal for loading and unloading in noise-controlled areas.

The vehicles will run from its Andover depot to various distribution centres in London.

Paul Gowland, group fleet manager at Howard Tenens, said: “Schmitz Cargobull manufactures a very good trailer. The quality is unsurpassed and the low overall lifetime costs, thanks to its durability and ease of maintenance, give it an edge in a very competitive market.”
