Commercial vehicle hire firm Burnt Tree has been integrated into Enterprise Flex-E-Rent– the UK commercial vehicle division of Enterprise Rent-A-Car – a year after it was bought by the business. Ryder Europe has purchased CV contract hire and fleet management specialist Euroway for an undisclosed sum. Euroway has a total fleet of 1,419 CVs, ranging from 3.5 tonners to tractor units, plus trailers. Daf is the dominant supplier to Euroway. In 2010, its combined divisions generated a combined turnover of about £22m and a pre-tax loss of circa £730,000. DX Group said it has successfully raised approximately £200.5m through selling shares on AIM this morning, following a 3% increase in turnover for the first six months of its current financial year.
Midlands courier company Burton Sameday has become one of the first customers for Burnt Tree’s new refrigerated vehicle rental service Refrigerental. Half of Sameday Burton’s fleet is now temperature controlled and it has taken a new refrigerated vehicle from Burnt Tree on a two year rental deal after earlier switching some of its ambient dry freight vehicles to the leading independent truck and van rental specialist. A second identical vehicle is due to join the fleet soon.
