Norbert Dentressangle (ND) has announced an extension to its warehousing and distribution contract with hygiene products manufacturer Kimberly-Clark Professional for a further three years. ND has been providing warehouse and distribution services at Kimberly-Clark Professional’s Flint site since 2000, which operates as the firm’s UK distribution centre. The 3PL also provides a separate integrated logistics service for the firm’s manufacturing operations at Flint, covering inbound transport, production planning, line-feed, materials handling, gatehouse control and waste management.
Norbert Dentressangle said its transport and logistics operations are “well on course” both in terms of growth and profitability, after posting a 19% increase in first-half earnings.
Norbert Dentressangle has renewed and extended its contract with commercial floor coverings manufacturer Forbo Flooring UK for three years.
The acquisition of Christian Salvesen in 2007 was a watershed moment for Norbert Dentressangle. Not only did it nearly double its turnover over night (from €1.8bn in 2007 to €3.1bn in 2008) it was the catalyst for a major international acquisition spree that has seen it expand its interests into Spain, Italy, Portugal, Russia and the USA. This boom also saw it buy TDG, and its annualised turnover of £700m.
