The boss of Eddie Stobart Logistics has endorsed Chep’s collaborative transportation programme, which, according to the pallet manufacturer, saved participants more than 900,000 road miles last year. Tyre maker Bridgestone has become the first commercial organisation to financially back the Logistics Carbon Reduction Scheme (LCRS). The partnership agreement will enable the FTA, which manages the scheme, to develop a series of annual low carbon awards and a campaign aimed at raising awareness of the business benefits for operators who join the scheme.
