Wincanton has secured two new distribution contracts: a five-year deal with military equipment supplier General Dynamics UK and a three-year contract renewal with Adidas. Wincanton is trialling four low-level access tankers that is says will improve driver safety, and boost both its environmental credentials and vehicle utilisation. The “game changer” side manway design, which has been developed with manufacturer Feldbinder, provides side access to the silo tanker. The Ministry of Defence (MoD) has awarded a four year vehicle supply and maintenance contract to Ryder, worth €30m (£25.4m).
Wincanton has been awarded a new contract with defence manufacturer BAE Systems, to provide full logistics and warehousing services in support of its UK shipbuilding operations.
