Wincanton has been ordered to pay £20,000 in damages after an employee, who was sacked after being accused of exaggerating injuries sustained at work, won her claim of unfair dismissal.

Asda has renewed Wincanton’s contract to manage and operate the supermarket’s DCs in Doncaster and Larne, Northern Ireland. The renewal runs until early 2016, and extends a relationship begun in 2005 at Larne and 2007 in Doncaster, which was Asda’s first NDC for general merchandise.
