Manchester-based Optima Logistics has joined the Fortec pallet network, for which it will cover the Oldham and Bolton areas.

Optima, which transports a range of ambient goods throughout Europe including food products in the UK and camping furniture, kitchenware and bedding in France, operates from a 90,000ft² warehouse in Manchester and has a second site in Daventry. With a workforce of almost 50, it operates a 16-strong fleet that includes a dozen artics.

Optima has been brought into the network to replace Rochdale firm James Nuttall (Transport), which recently joined Palletforce to cover the Manchester area.
