Trailer manufacturer Montracon has revealed that it has become the sole distributor of trailer-mounted container lift Swinglift in the UK.
Swinglift is a side-loading lift that is fitted directly to the trailer and allows operators to lift or remove containers from trailers, or transfer them from one trailer to another, without the need for external lifts.
Montracon MD Michael Dring said: “Swinglift is a ‘win-win’ – it’s a natural progression for Montracon, a good fit with our trailer range, and container movers will be quick to see the operating benefits that it brings.”
Montracon, which revealed that it would be offering the product at Multimodal this week, will allow customers to fit Swinglift on its fixed length or extending trailers, through a dedicated operation at its Doncaster plant.
The product was first introduced in Australasia, and Montracon claims it has reduced vehicle turnaround times when fitted to trailers.
