Bibby Distribution will use its full allocation of 25 longer semi-trailers (LSTs) when it takes delivery of twelve more 15.65m models. They will join 13 identical Don-Bur trailers which Bibby added to its fleet in 2012 as part of the on-going trial of longer trailers.
Bibby Distribution has won a contract with Morrisons to operate five regional consolidation centres (RCC) across the UK. Bibby will operate the five RCC operations from its existing facilities in Yorkshire, the East Midlands, the South East, Staffordshire and the South West. Bibby Distribution has become the latest operator to commit to a fleet refresh, with MAN set to deliver a total of 450 TGX tractors to the business during the next 18 months. An initial 55 Euro-5 units have already entered service in the Bibby fleet, with 131 scheduled for delivery in September. The remaining 264 TGX 440s will be presented throughout 2013.
