Brit European Transport has bolstered its bulk liquids business with the purchase of Cheshire-based Tankplus.
Specialising in fuel and bulk powder distribution, Tankplus operates from Ellesmere Port and runs seven vehicles.
“We were looking to develop the size and scope of our bulk liquids division and the Tankplus opportunity fitted the bill,” said Brit European MD Graham Lackey.
“We have no plans to change anything in the short to medium term as Tankplus appears to be working well and delivering what its current customers require.
"The location at Ellesmere Port however throws up some immediate opportunities for extending our tanker operations further,” said Lackey.
Brit European has acquired the goodwill and assets of Tankplus, and all 13 staff have transferred across.
